Ukraine resumes poultry meat exports to the European Union, suspended in winter due to an outbreak of bird flu, Ukrainian Economy, Trade and Agriculture Development Deputy Minister – Trade Representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka has stated.
“Highly pathogenic avian influenza cases were recorded in Ukraine in the winter months. For the period of detecting these cases, exports were suspended. It only took a few weeks and export deliveries were resumed,” Kachka wrote on his Facebook page.
He noted that the rapid recovery of exports was a sign of normal, high-quality and friendly cooperation between Ukraine and the EU, which was provided by the Economy Ministry and the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
