The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) forecasts that remittances from migrant workers to Ukraine will amount to $13 billion in 2021, up by 8% YoY, Deputy NBU Governor Yuriy Heletiy has said.
“In 2021, remittances from migrant workers are expected to grow by 8%, to about $13 billion,” Heletiy said at a briefing.
He added that the Ukrainian tourism industry was expected to resume this year.
“Imports of travel services are expected to be restored to almost $6 billion, from $4.7 billion in 2020. In 2022, we expect this figure will reach pre-crisis levels,” Heletiy said. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
