Ukraine’s State Customs Service said the country in January exported 29,120 tons of poultry meat and offal, down by 22% YoY.
At the same time, exports in monetary terms soared by almost 27%, to $45.87 million.
Major buyers of Ukrainian poultry in the first month of 2021 were Saudi Arabia ($16.97 million, or 46.8% of total supplies), the United Arab Emirates ($2.35 million, or 6.5%) and Hong Kong ($1.95 million, or 5.4%).
Ukraine also reduced egg exports over the period under review to 3,680 tons, or by 68%.
Egg exports more than halved in monetary terms, to $4.18 million from $10.48 million in January 2020.
In January, main buyers of Ukrainian eggs were the United Arab Emirates ($1.45 million, or 34.7% of total supplies), Latvia ($1.11 million, or 26.7%) and Saudi Arabia ($643,500, or 15.4%). (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
