Ukraine’s local budgets received UAH 130.6 million in revenues from tourist tax in 2020. Kyiv became the leader with UAH 34.7 million in tourist tax revenues, the State Agency for Tourism Development reported with reference to data provided by the State Tax Service of Ukraine.
“In total, local budgets received UAH 130,628,240 in revenues from tourist tax,” the report reads.
The three leaders included Kyiv city (UAH 34.7 million), Odesa region (UAH 15.2 million) and Lviv region (UAH 11.8 million).
In addition, Kharkiv region (UAH 6.6 million), Zakarpattia region (UAH 6.4 million), Zaporizhzhia region (UAH 6.2 million), Ivano-Frankivsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions (UAH 5.6 million each) entered the top ten. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
