Ukraine will receive from the United States two new MK VI patrol boats.
That’s according to Army Inform, Defense Ministry’s information agency, referring to a Pentagon report.
The construction will cost nearly $20 million.
The first batch of boats is expected to be built until December 2022.
“The vessels for our country will be manufactured by SAFE Boats International LLC (Bremerton, Washington),” the report said.
The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contractor, while funding is provided under the Ukraine Security Assistance program. (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
