First Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Valeriy Ivashchenko and Deputy Defense Minister of Brazil Marcos Rosas Degaut Pontes have signed a memorandum of understanding.
Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister for Strategic Industries Oleh Urusky noted that he considered cooperation between Ukraine and Brazil as complementary, because both countries had something to offer each other.
“This will be a two-way road. Our countries are starting a new direction of cooperation, which has great prospects. We already have experience of cooperation, in particular, in the implementation of the international project “Cyclone-4″. We got to know each other and realized that our cooperation is reaching a new level,” Urusky said.
The Vice PM also expressed hope that cooperation with Brazilian counterparts in the defense industry would help load the domestic defense industry, which had suffered losses due to the global pandemic. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
