In January-August, Ukraine’s exports of goods totaled $30.8 billion, down by 6.6% YoY. Over the first seven months of the year, the decline in exports reached 7.4%.
“According to the State Statistics Service, over the first eight months of 2020, the exports of goods totaled $30.8 billion, down by 6.6% YoY. However, the ministry sees a positive tendency of slowdown in the exports decline. Over seven months of 2020, the export of goods decreased by 7.4%. Over eight months, the decline was only 6.6%, i.e. the decline rate slowed by 0.8%,” the press service of the Economic Development Ministry of Ukraine posted on Facebook.
As noted, the dynamics of exports of goods is observed in many sectors of the economy (the exception was the export of chemical products and mineral products). Thus, the export of engineering products has improved by 1.8%; light industry products – by 1.6%; wood and paper products – by 1.5%; metallurgical products – by 1.2%; products of agro-industrial complex and food industry – by 0.6%.
