President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a law on raising the minimum wage in Ukraine, approved by the Verkhovna Rada at an extraordinary meeting on August 25, according to the president’s website.
The document provides for an increase in the minimum monthly wage and its establishment at the level of UAH 5,000 from September 1.
President Zelensky earlier stated that the increase in the minimum wage from September 1 was only the first stage. The government is planning to raise the minimum wage to UAH 6,000 from 2021 and to UAH 6,500 from 2022. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
