Ukraine’s state arms exporter Ukrspecexport, a part of the Ukroboronprom State Concern, increased net sales revenue in the first half of 2020 by 36.6% YoY, to UAH 1.53 billion, Ukroboronprom press service reported.
The result was achieved despite “lockdown in most of the company’s partner countries”, as the firm increased sales of military and dual-use products on global markets, the press service quoted CEO Vadym Nozdria as saying.
Ukrspecexport’s net profit in the first six months of 2020 grew 2.2-fold, to UAH 150 million, the top official added.
Positive dynamics is due to the success of a number of foreign economic contracts and the introduction of new standards of operational management. This year, Ukrspecexport delivered to the Defense Ministry a batch of BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicles, as well as supplied radars to an unnamed foreign customer and began cooperation with Pakistan on military aircraft repair.
