In January-May, Kazakhstan increased the river transportation of cargoes by almost 8% YoY, informed the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan on June 29.
“The volume of goods transported by rivers reached nearly 153 thousand tons, by up 7.8% compared to the same period of the last year”, the message said.
In April, the ministry informed about the plans to extend the total volume of the river transportation of cargoes to 1.6 million tons until the end of 2020 from 1.5 million tons in 2019. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
