Ukraine’s imports of natural gas rose to 2.7 billion cubic meters in the first quarter of 2020, up by 76% YoY, according the LLC Operator of the Gas Transmission System of Ukraine (OGTSU).
In particular, Ukraine’s imports from Slovakia amounted to 1.9 billion cubic meters (+99%), Hungary – 0.5 billion cubic meters (+58%) and Poland – 0.35 billion cubic meters (+21%).
The reported import volumes from Poland did not include the virtual reverse that became available at the beginning of the year – 0.28 billion cubic meters.
In March, Ukraine’s imports of natural gas made up 1.3 billion cubic meters, twice as much as in March 2019 (+670 million cubic meters). (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
