In January-February, gas imports into Ukraine totaled 1.438 million cubic meters, up by 57% YoY.
“In February, 981 million cubic meters of natural gas was imported into Ukraine, up by 47%,” the press service of the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine reports.
As of March 11, gas was imported exclusively from the European Union countries. Ukraine has not been importing gas from the Russian Federation since November 2015.
In particular, in January-February, gas imports from Slovakia amounted to 987 million cubic meters, up by 59%, from Hungary – 229 million cubic meters, up by 41%, and from Poland – 222 million cubic meters, up by 140%.
