PJSC Myronivsky Hliboproduct (MHP) increased chicken meat exports by 25% YoY in 2019, to 357,400 tons, the company’s press service has reported.
“Despite the challenges presented by the temporary ban on exports to the KSA market, chicken meat exports in Q4 2019 increased by 20%, to 87,651 tons, and in 2019 by 25%, to 357,433 tons, allowing the company to almost meet the planned annual volumes,” the report reads.
MHP chicken meat exports accounted for about 53% of total sales in 2019, compared to 48% in 2018. In total, the company produced about 728,900 tons of poultry last year (18% more than in 2018). Annual sales of chicken meat grew by 13%, to almost 670,000 tons.
Last year, the company sold 384,150 tons of sunflower oil (+22%), 50,000 tons of soybean oil (+3%), and produced 2.4 million tons of grain and leguminous crops (-9.3%). (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
