Over the ten months of the year the export of goods from Chernihiv region increased by 6% YoY, and the trade turnover of regional enterprises with foreign partners exceeded $1 billion.
“In January-October the trade turnover of regional enterprises with foreign partners from 132 countries amounted to $1.005 billion. The export of goods grew by 6.1% (to $636.4 million) with a positive balance of 267.8 million,” the press service of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration reports.
The major exports were grain crops (with a share of over 45% in overall exports), prepared food (more than 12%), wood and wood products (almost 8%), paper and cardboard (about 7%), footwear (4%), as well as machinery and equipment (4%).
Shipments of goods to the EU countries increased by almost 20% and accounted for 42% of exports. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
