Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament Dmytro Razumkov says the national budget for 2020, which has recently been passed by the parliament, is not final and will be amended.
“Parliamentarians also spoke about this, addressing the government. They said that not all proposals from representatives of various political forces had been taken into account. There will be many debates on the budget. I’m sure it will have certain amendments,” he declared.
At the same time, the relevant law was to be adopted so that Ukraine could enter the new year with a new budget and the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament, could have its own budget and “the state could work”.
When asked about criticism that the budget could have been better if the relevant bill had been considered in the third reading, the parliament speaker answered he was not sure it would somehow significantly improve or change the budget if the procedure had lasted longer.
“We have already taken into account those indicators and proposals that have been provided by the government. And I think that neither the government officials nor the parliament had the opportunity to radically change them within such a short period of time,” he added. (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
