Ukraine’s public and publicly guaranteed debt amounted to UAH 2.067 trillion or $81.92 billion as of August 31, the Ukrainian Finance Ministry reported.
According to the report, public and publicly guaranteed foreign debt amounted to UAH 1.251 trillion, or $49.57 billion, whereas public and publicly guaranteed domestic debt stood at UAH 816.26 billion, or $32.35 billion.
Ukraine’s public debt amounted to UAH 1.81 trillion (87.55% of the total amount of public and publicly guaranteed debt), or $71.73 billion. Public foreign debt amounted to UAH 1.005 trillion (48.6% of the total amount of public and publicly guaranteed debt), or $39.82 billion. Public domestic debt amounted to UAH 805.24 billion (38.95% of the total amount of public and publicly guaranteed debt), or $31.91 billion.
Ukraine’s publicly guaranteed debt amounted to UAH 257.26 billion (12.45%), or $10.2 billion, including publicly guaranteed foreign debt – UAH 246.24 billion (11.91%), or $9.76 billion and publicly guaranteed domestic debt – UAH 11.02 billion (0.53%), or $0.44 billion.
During August public and publicly guaranteed debt in Ukraine shrank by UAH 0.51 billion, or by $0.5 billion. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
