Senior analyst with Forex Club Andriy Shevchyshyn says the forex rate of the hryvnia, Ukraine’s national currency, may strengthen to UAH 25 per U.S. dollar in the first week of September.
The reference value of the hryvnia exchange rate was UAH 25.23 to the dollar as of September 1.
“It is likely that the hryvnia exchange rate will still be stable in the near future and will be within the range of UAH 25-25.2 per dollar,” the expert declared on September 2.
The expert added that UAH stabilization was taking place against the backdrop of a statement by MP Daniil Hetmantsev (Servant of the People), who headed the Financial and Customs Policy Committee, that an increase in income tax was possible. (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
