Ukraine imported 13,500 tons of pork for $25.71 million in the first seven months of 2019, the State Fiscal Service has reported.
Pork imports to Ukraine over the period exceeded exports in monetary terms 10-fold, according to the report.
The largest pork supplier with a share of 48.46% was Poland, followed by Germany (19.79%) and the Netherlands (10.24%). In 2015-2018 the leader in terms of pork supplies to Ukraine was Germany.
In January-July Ukraine exported 1,100 tons of pork for $2.65 million.
The largest buyer of Ukrainian pork was Vietnam (41.99%), followed by the United Arab Emirates (31.99%) and Hong Kong (15.47%).
In January-April pork imports to Ukraine exceeded exports 19-fold. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
