Ukrainian companies increased retail trade by 17.9% YoY in the first half of 2019, according to the State Statistics Service.
In January-June the retail turnover of retail trade enterprises (legal entities) amounted to UAH 363.8 billion.
The leader in terms of retail trade in the first half of 2019 was the city of Kyiv (UAH 98.3 billion), followed by Dnipropetrovsk region (UAH 47.1 billion), Kharkiv region (UAH 38.1 billion), and Odesa region (UAH 37.9 billion).
The lowest retail trade figures in the first half of 2019 were recorded in Luhansk region (UAH 4.6 billion), Chernivtsi region (UAH 7.1 billion), and Ternopil region (UAH 7.3 billion).
The retail turnover of retail trade enterprises (legal entities) in January-June 2018 amounted to UAH 308.46 billion, up by 18.2%.
The data are given without taking into account the retail turnover of individual entrepreneurs, as well as temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol and part of temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
