Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said Ukraine in 2017-2018 built more roads than in the previous decade thanks to the implementation of the government’s five-year strategy.
“We built 6,800 km of roads in 2017-2018. It can be said that much less was done in the previous ten years,” he said at a government meeting.
At the same time, the prime minister said that the task for 2019-2021 was to link the country’s all regional centers by overhauled roads. According to Groysman, the government’s road strategy provides for normal road service between district and regional centers with further development and access to transnational highways.
“These are the ideology and strategy we embrace. We’ll be implementing them,” he said.
The official added that, among other things, the highways Lviv-Ternopil, Ternopil-Khmelnytsky, Odesa-Reni, Kyiv-Kharkiv-Dovzhanske, and Dnipro-Reshetylivka were repaired in the past two years. (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
