The income of the population in Ukraine grew by 9.9% YoY in 2018, to UAH 3.219 trillion ($119.24 billion).
“Disposable income per person amounted to UAH 57,908.6 ($2,144),” the State Statistics Service said.
As for the income structure, 47.4% was salary (45.6% in 2017), 17.6% – profit and mixed income (18%), 2.6% – income from property (3%), and 32.4% – social assistance and other current transfers (33.4%).
The expenses of Ukrainians in 2018 amounted to UAH 3.202 trillion ($118.61 billion), while savings rose by UAH 16.8 billion ($622.22 million). As for the structure of expenses, 89.2% were purchases of goods and services (89% in 2017), 9.4% were current taxes on income, property and other current transfers (9%).
The State Statistics Service added these were preliminary calculations, and the final information on income and expenditure of the population in 2018 would be published later. (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
