Natural gas stocks in Ukraine’s underground storage facilities (USFs) have shrunk by 35.7%, or by 6.14 billion cubic meters, to 11.053 billion cubic meters since November 7, 2018 when Ukraine started pumping out gas from its reserves amid the heating season.
As of February 2, gas reserves in the country’s USFs were 10.6% down from 12.35 billion cubic meters reported as of February 2, 2018, the state-run gas transport system operator Ukrtransgaz said.
In particular, 56.13 million cubic meters of gas was withdrawn from the storage facilities on February 2 alone. The country’s USFs were filled by 35% as of February 2. (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
