As of January 21, mills in Ukraine processed 12.58 million tons of sugar beet.
The National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine (Ukrsugar) informed that 1.71 million tons of sugar were produced as of the reporting date.
The Ukrsugar experts adjusted the forecast of sugar production in MY2018-2019 (September 2018 – August 2019) to 1.7 million tons from 2 million tons, due to the low sugar content of sugar beet.
