Ukraine’s exports of walnuts grew by 18% YoY in September-October compared with the same period of the previous season, according to the analytical and information platform EastFruit.
“Exports of walnuts from Ukraine in the first two months of the season grew by 18% compared with the same period of the previous season. Due to the earlier start of harvesting, a large-scale export of walnuts from the new crop was launched this year in September, when Ukraine exported 3.6 times more walnuts than a year earlier,” reads the report.
According to EastFruit analysts, the difference in the volume of exports decreased in October, although the export in October 2018 still exceeded the export in October 2017 by 12%. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
