Ukrainian sugar producers exported 11.1 thousand tons of sugar in September, the press service of the Ukrtsukor National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine reports.
“In the first month of the current marketing year, Ukrainian sugar producers exported 11.1 thousand tons of sugar, which is half the amount exported over the previous month,” reads the report.
Head of the analytical department at Ukrtsukor, Ruslana Butylo, noted that Uzbekistan remained the main importer of Ukrainian sugar – 89% of all deliveries in September. Ukrainian sugar was exported to Moldova (17%), Azerbaijan (8%), and Tajikistan (8%).
As reported, Ukrtsukor projected that sugar exports in the current marketing year would reach about 500 600 tons.
As of October 6, a total of 37 sugar refineries operated in Ukraine that had already produced 569.4 thousand tons of sugar. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
