Russian fertilizer producer EuroChem has opened a $16-million efficient water-soluble fertilizers plant in Lithuania, the company said in a statement.
The plant will produce 25,000 tons of water-soluble crystalline urea phosphate per year, and the capacity will be reached until the end of 2018.
“This new facility will further strengthen Lifosa’s position on the global fertilizer market. At the same time, the construction of the plant is an investment in sustainable development of the company. We constantly aim to protect our environment by rationing the use of natural resources,” EuroChem said quoting Jonas Dastikas, general manager of subsidiary company AB Lifosa.
