The growth of Ukraine’s GDP in the second quarter of 2018 to 3.8% compared to the same period last year may become a prerequisite for average wage increase up to UAH 10,000 before the end of the year.
“In the second quarter we had preliminary data on the GDP growth up to 3.6%. The adjusted data indicates that GDP growth was 3.8%. We have a normal pace of gross output in Ukraine, which means that people have more work and we produce more goods and services. However, let’s see what situation we will have at the end of the year,” Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said at the government’s meeting.
He noted that the government’s goal was to have brought the average wage to the level of UAH 10,000 by the end of the year. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
