A total of 333 investment projects worth almost UAH 35 billion are currently being prepared and implemented in the Ukrainian agro-industrial complex.
“The largest number of such projects (40) is being implemented in Cherkasy region. Thirty-nine projects are implemented in Poltava region, 36 – in Vinnytsia region and 36 – in Lviv region The cost of the projects ranges from UAH 100,000 to UAH 9.6 billion,” the press service of the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry of Ukraine reports.
The investment projects are implemented in the following areas: development of cattle breeding (76 projects), development of pig breeding (43), development of poultry farming (25), vegetable and fruit storages (23), perennial plantations (16), irrigation (11), slaughter units (10).
In January-March the investments in agriculture, hunting and related services totaled UAH 10.5 billion, up by 9.5% YoY. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
