Ukraine’s State Fiscal Service (SFS) reimbursed UAH 54.8 billion worth of value added tax (VAT) in January-May, according to a report on the SFS official page on Facebook.
“In January-May UAH 54.8 billion worth of VAT was reimbursed to taxpayers, up by 14.4% or by UAH 6.9 billion YoY. UAH 47.9 billion worth of VAT was returned to taxpayers in January-May 2017,” reads the report.
The State Fiscal Service also reports on the growth of amounts of VAT reimbursed over the past several years. In particular, UAH 36 billion worth of VAT was reimbursed in January-May 2016, UAH 94.4 billion in 2016, while in the same period in 2017 – the figures grew by 33%, and reached UAH 120.1 billion by the end of the year.
In addition, 86% of the VAT amounts claimed for return have been reimbursed, the State Fiscal Service reported. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
