PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia and U.S. company General Electric Transportation signed a framework agreement on modernization and production of locomotives.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch.
The agreement, in particular, provides for the modernization of a locomotive fleet and the construction of new locomotives. One of the terms of the agreement is that the level of localization of the production of locomotives in Ukraine should reach 10% at the first stage and 40% later. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
