Industrial production in Ukraine in September decreased by 0.3% YoY, while in August it increased by 1.2%, the State Statistics Service has said.
The agency said taking into account adjustment for the effect of calendar days, industrial production in September from September 2016 declined by a mere 0.1%.
It said in comparison with the previous month, in September industrial production grew by 2.5%, however, taking into account the seasonal factor, a decrease of 0.4% was recorded.
Growth in processing industry in September from September 2016 was 1.2%, in mining and quarrying industry 0.1%, while the supply of electricity, gas, steam and conditioned air decreased by 3.4%.
According to the report, in general, in nine months industrial production in Ukraine fell by 0.3% compared to the same period in 2016, while in eight months the lag was 0.4%, seven months some 0.7%.
The rise in processing industry in January-September was 3.6%, in mining and quarrying industry some 0.6%, while the supply of electricity, gas, steam and conditioned air fell by 5.7%. (Interfax-Ukraine/Business World Magazine)
