IMC agricultural holding has harvested 78,100 tons of winter wheat from 13,700 hectares.
According to a holding press release, the yield of this crop was 5.7 ton per ha (in bunker weight), up by 19% YoY, and is the record for all 11 seasons of growing winter wheat by IMC.
“Despite difficult weather conditions, both during the sowing of winter crops in autumn 2016 and during the entire growing season, the IMC production team managed to obtain a worthy result for winter wheat thanks to the intensification of growing technology, namely high-performance varieties of foreign selection, strengthening nutrition and protection systems,” IMC Operating Director Oleksandr Verzhykhovsky said.
IMC specializes in growing grain, oilseeds and potatoes and milk production in Ukraine. It owns capacities for storage of 554,000 tons of grain and oilseeds. (Interfax-Ukraine/Business World Magazine)
