Ukraine produced 431,000 tons of bread and bakery products in January-May, down by 7.6% YoY, according to Ukraine’s State Statistics Service.
In May Ukraine produced 90,000 tons of bread, up by 5.3% MoM, but down by 3% YoY.
Flour production in the five months totaled 763,000 tons, down by 1.5% YoY. Flour production in May was 139,000, down by 5.9% MoM, but up by 3.4% YoY.
The report does not include information from temporarily occupied areas in Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as Donbas.
Production of bread and bakery products in 2016 was 1.12 million tons, down by 7.1% YoY. Flour production in 2016 declined by 4.8%, to 1.94 million tons. (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
