During nine months of 2016-2017 MY, Ukraine officially produced nearly 1.527 million tons of wheat flour, against 1.526 million tons in the same period last season, the Adviser to the Chairman at Agrarian Fund PJSC Sergei Sakirkin declared.
According to him, Ukraine continues decreasing number of enterprises, which provide balances about grain processing volumes in current MY. Taking into account the production of minimum flour volumes (from 1 ton), in March the number of such enterprises totaled 312. And the number of enterprises, which officially produced more than 1 thousand tons of flour in March, totaled 45 only. But there were only 7 enterprises, which produced more than 5 thousand tons.
According to the expert, in the reporting period 10 largest flour milling companies produced 41.83% of the general flour volumes, or 638.699 thousand tons. The TOP-3 of producers included Vinnytsia bread factory No. 2, which in January-March produced 125.277 thousand tons of flour, Stolichny mlyn (88.658 thousand tons), and Novopokrovka Factory of Bakery Products (88.37 thousand tons).
