Public joint-stock company Ukrzaliznytsia is working on passenger service standards, Director for Passenger Transportation and Services Ihor Romankiv has said.
“Any business has standards. The same should be at railways. For example, when asked where the 12th car passenger car is, attendants do not say “there,” but say “this way, passing next car,” he said.
He said that the company was working on spreading the e-ticket service.
“We plan to equip all trains, including regional ones, with ticket inspection mobile terminals. This allows us to sell tickets online for all trains and not to force people to go to ticket offices,” Romankiv said.
Ukrzaliznytsia is also developing vehicle transportation services.
“There is demand on the premium segment – salon cars. They will be available for sale. In addition, we would fully change the approach to train bedding sets. It must be clean, dry and of good quality. We are working on new technologies for cleaning cars inside. We are mulling how to improve catering service in trains,” he said.
