Natural gas production in Ukraine in January and February tentatively grew by 0.5% YoY or by 17.8 million cubic meters, to 3.358 billion cubic meters, Ukrtransgaz has reported.
Ukrgazvydobuvannia produced 2.408 billion cubic meters of gas in January-February (down by 1.1% YoY), Ukrnafta – 205.5 million cubic meters (down by 6.4%) and other companies – 744.8 million cubic meters (up by 8.4%).
In February alone, gas production was 1.596 billion cubic meters (down by 1% YoY), including 1.146 billion cubic meters by Ukrgazvydobuvannia, 96.2 million cubic meters by Ukrnafta and 353.7 million cubic meters by other companies.
As reported, natural gas production in Ukraine in 2016 grew by 0.5% YoY, or by 91.1 million cubic meters, to 19.987 billion cubic meters.
Naftogaz Ukrainy’s enterprises reduced gas output by 0.8%, or 131.8 million cubic meters, to 15.9 billion cubic meters. In particular, Ukrgazvydobuvannia produced 14.603 billion cubic meters of gas (up by 0.5%), and Ukrnafta’s output was 1.298 billion cubic meters (down by 13.7%).
Other producers boosted gas output by 5.8%, or 222.9 million cubic meters, to 4.087 billion cubic meters in 2016.
