Large and medium-sized crushers of Ukraine produced 2.5 KMT of rapeseed oil in December 2016 against 2 KMT in November 2016 and 7.2 KMT in December 2015.
Rapeseed oil production at Ukraine’s large and medium-sized plants has amounted to 61.6 KMT since the beginning of the season 2016/2017, or down by 52% YoY.
Analysts note that apart from this season’s rapeseed crop decline, crushing is strongly pulled down by traders’ interest in export of this oilseed. So, over 800 KMT of rapeseed was supplied to foreign markets in the six months of MY 2016/2017, up by 90% from the season’s total export potential. (UkrAgroConsult/Business World Magazine)
