By 2021 the export volumes of vegetable oils from Kazakhstan will grow to nearly 400 thousand tons, oilseed meals – to nearly 500 thousand tons, the member of the board of directors at EFCO Group of Companies Vladislav Romantsev declared.
Realization of the project on foundation of the fat-and-oil cluster on the basis of production facilities of EFCO Almaty will significantly enhance such growth rates. Due to modernization of the production and transfer of international technologies, the company managed to close the domestic needs of Kazakhstan, and started supplying products to the countries of Central Asia and China, Romantsev said.
Also, he stressed the necessity to create the specialized food belt around Almaty, to produce high-quality food economically available for all segments of the population.
EFKO Almaty develops its business activity to ensure sustainable development of the agricultural industry. The company is actively working to increase the yield and harvest volumes of oilseed crops in Kazakhstan, including the seed-production direction, transfer of the global agricultural technologies, supporting of agrarians, etc.
At the same time, Romantsev noted several existing problems, which were primarily related to unreasonably high purchasing prices for Kazakh oilseed raw materials. Any effective development is possible only in terms of fair distribution of the margin between all market participants, from agricultural producers to oilseed processors and producers of finished goods.
