Bad credits in the banking system of Moldova amounted to 16.29% as of the end of October, up by 0.52% MoM.
Compared with October 2015, it increased by 6.48% or 1.7 times from 9.81%, NBM reports.
The biggest shares of bad credits were recorded by Victoriabank – 33.82% (against 32.92% in September and 11.15% in October 2015), Eximbank – Gruppo Veneto Banca – 27.03% (against 26.65% and 22.18%), BCR Chisinau – 25.89% (26.44% and 25.9%), Comertbank – 16.87% (17.86% and 11.29%), Energbank – 14.13% (14.21% and 19.16%).
The smallest shares of the bad credits were reported by FinComBank – 3.74% (3.94% in September), Mobiasbanca – Groupe Societe Generale -7.93% (7.81%), EuroCreditBank – 7.62% (7.81%), ProCredit Bank – 9.62% (9.25%). The bad credits were 13.47% against 11.93% in Moldindconbank and 13.68% against 13.37% in Agroindbank.
As of the end of October the outstanding loans (the principal) were MDL 35 billion 929.33 million, down by 1.1% MoM and by 8.7% YoY), while the balance of indebtedness on bad loans amounted to MDL 5 billion 852.63 million, up by 2.2% MoM and up 1.5 times YoY. (InfoMarket/Business World Magazine)
