Vodafone Ukraine mobile operator (PrJSC MTS Ukraine) in July-September saw its revenues rise by 11.2% YoY, to 2.86 billion UAH.
According to the operator, the number of Vodafone Ukraine subscribers as of the end of September reached 20.8 million people. Growth YoY was 2.7%, or 500,000 users.
“The main growth factors were universal Voice & Data Vodafone Red tariffs for voice and data transmission and 3G coverage, making 3G services from Vodafone available for half of the country’s population. By the end of 2016 the geographical coverage of the 3G network will be 54%”, the report said.
The volume of voice services use is stable, while use of data services for the year increased 2.6 times. The total number of data service users in the Vodafone Ukraine network today exceeds 9 million people, of whom 7 million use 3G mobile Internet.
According to the company, its net profit for the third quarter decreased by 21.3% YoY, to 448 million UAH. At the same time, OIBDA grew by 2.1%, to 1.07 billion UAH. (Interfax/Business World Magazine)
