As of November 15, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 59.285 million tons of grains throughout the areas of 13.279 million ha, or 93% of the plan. The average yield totaled 4.46 ton/ha, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reported. At the same time, on the same date last year the production volumes reached 58.4 million tons.
In particular, agrarians continued harvesting corn. As of the reporting date, Ukraine harvested 20.217 million tons of the grain throughout 3.253 million ha (77%). The average yield reached 6.21 ton/ha.
Also, Ukraine harvested 191 thousand tons of buckwheat throughout 149 thousand ha (99.8%). The average yield totaled 1.28 ton/ha. Agrarians harvested millet throughout 104 thousand ha (100%). The production volumes totaled 190 thousand tons, with the yield of 1.83 ton/ha.
Agricultural enterprises of Ukraine harvested 13.221 million tons of sunflower seed throughout 5.823 million ha (98%), with the average yield of 2.27 ton/ha.
Ukraine continued harvesting soybeans. Agrarians harvested 3.977 million tons of the oilseed throughout the areas of 1.741 million ha (95%), with the average yield of 2.28 ton/ha.
Ukraine continued realizing the planting campaign of winter grains. As of November 15, agrarians planted winter grains throughout 6.912 million ha (94% of the plan), up 316 thousand ha compared with the same date last year.
In particular, Ukraine planted winter wheat and triticale throughout 5.888 million ha (95%), winter rye – 157 thousand ha (106%), and winter barley – 866 thousand ha (84%). Also, Ukraine planted winter rapeseed throughout 836 thousand ha (115%). (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
