According to the Bulgarian Ministry of Agriculture, as of November 3, 401.7 thousand ha of corn were threshed, or 95% of the plan (423 thousand ha). 2118.5 KMT were harvested with the average yield of 5.27 MT/ha.
Pace of harvesting is 8.9% higher than in 2015. On the reporting date, average corn yield was up by 1.7% YoY.
By November 3, winter wheat had been sown at 830 thousand ha. The pace of sowing is 0.8% less than in 2015. On the same date in 2015 winter wheat had been sown at 836.6 thousand ha.
The pace of winter barley sowing is 25.8% behind. On the reporting date winter barley had been sown at 102.6 thousand ha against 138.3 thousand ha in 2015. (UkrAgroConsult/Business World Magazine)
