Ukraine expects that Chinese investors will help Ukraine develop future technologies, including the creation of the so-called smart cities in Ukraine.
Deputy Presidential Administration Head Dmytro Shymkiv stated this during an opening ceremony of Ukraine Silk Road International Forum held in Kyiv.
“We very much welcome the prospect of attracting Chinese investors to the Ukrainian economy. And I would like to see more cooperation in the sphere of future technologies. Since such technologies can let us implement the projects of new type transport corridors or create ‘smart cities’, which are being actively developed in China, the creation of a joint intellectual production with participation of Ukrainian engineers”, Shymkiv said.
He noted that due to the deregulation and easing of doing business in Ukraine, the number of permits was reduced by 40%, while a number of economic activities was cut from 56 to 30. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
