Last week competition on Ukrainian sunflower seed market became tougher between buyers causing price growth.
Market is still supported by rains, which delayed harvesting and decreased sunflower supply on domestic market. Moreover, rains had a negative impact on sunflower seed quality. This gives oil extraction plants a reason to cut the prices on average by 100 UAH/MT.
Sunflower deficit is observed on the market, prices set by farmers are going up. Considerable price support comes from a similar tendency on sunflower oil market. (UkrAgroConsult/Business World Magazine)
