Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Ihor Nasalyk predicts that the nuclear power plants (NPPs) share of total power generation in Ukrainian power grid would grow from current 60% to 65% at the end of October.
“We have brought the share of nuclear power generation from 47% in May to 60% today, and in a week contribution of nuclear power will be 65%”, he said.
The minister said that last week coal deliveries to warehouses of thermal power plants (TPPs) continued and as of October 16, coal stocks totaled 1.836 million tons. (Interfax/Business World Magazine)
