The Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Indonesia in cooperation with the State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection informed about expansion of the list of Ukrainian agricultural products allowed for exports to Indonesia, the Council of Exporters and Investors under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine declared.
Previously Ukraine was able to supply two types of fresh plant products (wheat and apples) to Indonesia. But to date, Ukrainian producers can export 14 additional types of products: wild cherry, cherry, onion, garlic, potatoes, carrot, barley, corn, rye, rye and corn flour, sorghum, soybean and yellow peas.
In order to export the reporting types of products to Indonesia, it is mandatory to receive the Certificate of Analysis from the Odessa state border control and toxicological laboratory, which indicates the limiting values of pesticides, mycotoxins, heavy metals and bacteria content for each product type. If Ukraine ships the goods to Indonesia for the first time, it is necessary to make a pest risk analysis by the expert group from Indonesia. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
