The 2015/2016 grain season is coming to an end in Kazakhstan (September 2015 – August 2016). High exports of basic grain crops and flour, was the main feature of the 2015/2016 marketing year in Kazakhstan, as well as in Ukraine and in Russia. However, in case of Kazakhstan, grain shipments did not reach all-time high, but still became the highest since 2011/2012.
In season 2015/2016 Kazakhstan is expected to increase grain exports by 31% compared to last season, including flour in grain equivalent. Certainly, wheat and wheat flour were the major export commodities, but only barley shipments set a new record. (UkrAgroConsult/Business World Magazine)
