AS Tallink Grupp transported 1188226 passengers in July, achieving the record of the highest passenger volumes per calendar month. Compared to the results of the last year, the passenger volumes increase by 5% and the volumes of cargo units and passenger vehicles by 3.5% and 7.2% respectively.
The passenger volumes increased the most – by 10.6%, to 661234 passengers – on Finland-Estonia route. The increase can be linked to the passenger ferry Silja Europa being added to the route on March this year. The increase of passenger volumes was seen also on Latvia-Sweden route – by 3.1%, to 53318 passengers. On the routes between Finland and Sweden there was a slight decrease of 2.5%, to 368527 passengers and on Estonia-Sweden route – by 0.7%, to 105147 passengers.
The company also transported 23835 cargo units and 160754 passenger vehicles during last month.
