According to AgMin of Kazakhstan in 2015/2016 (July 2015 – June 2016) 5.4 MMT and 2 MMT was exported, which in recalculation to grain is 8.3 MMT of grain. Thus, actual exports were 1 MMT more than the forecast of AgMin.
Average annual grain exports from Kazakhstan are 6-7 MMT. Record was set in 2011/2012, when 12 MMT was shipped.
According to the official forecast, in 2016 Kazakh farmers will harvest 17 MMT of grain and export potential is estimated at the level of 7-7.5 MMT. (UkrAgroConsult/Business World Magazine)
