The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) forecasts that Ukraine will harvest 61.22 million tons of grain in the current agricultural year (July 2016 – June 2017) and this is 2.4% more than the previous forecast. The country will export 33.63 million tons of grain (3% up on the previous forecast).
Ukraine’s feed grain harvest will total 36.22 million tons (35.77 million in the June report), including 26 million tons of corn and 9.1 million tons of barley (8.65 million in the previous report).
The wheat harvest and exports forecasts were revised upwards by 1 million tons, to 25 million tons and 12.5 million tons respectively.
